CDBG Sanitary Sewer Improvements

TxCDBG Project #21-0219
Year Completed: 2024
Project Construction Budget: $308,500

Project Scope:

This project started in the spring of 2021 when CPB assisted the City of Bryson in applying for a community development block grant (CDBG) to replace and upgrade sections of deteriorating and leaking manholes and clay tile sewer lines. Bryson’s grant application was approved, and funding was awarded in early 2023. CPB entered into a contract with the City to provide the necessary engineering services in 2023.  This project consisted of the installation of new 110 LF  8” PVC sewer line bore across a TXDOT highway, replacement of 600 feet of collapsed or damaged 6” & 8” sewer lines, and the installation of 4 new manholes. Plans and specifications were prepared by the CPB team and put out for bid. CPB provided the City of Bryson with TCEQ-approved civil plans and specifications, project management, bidding services, construction phase services, coordination between grant specialists, and project close-out services. These projects were completed in mid 2024 and had a total construction cost of $308,500 dollars.
