River Road WWTP Expansion
Expansion of the River Road WWTP in Wichita Falls, Texas utilizing Wastewater SRF Funds.
This project included expanding the River Road WWTP to 16.49 MGD average daily flow with nitrification. The project included construction of a new plant lift station, headworks (bar screen, grit removal, odor control), three primary clarifiers, expanded existing aeration basin and converted to fine bubble aeration, one additional aeration basin with fine bubble aeration, aeration blowers, operations building, return activated sludge pumps, secondary clarifier, secondary scum pump station, anaerobic digesters, dechlorination facility, reaeration basin, and dual feed high voltage electric service throughout plant. Construction was completed in 1992 and the total construction cost for the project was approximately $19.5 million.
